BEHIND THE SCENES: Photo/Trailer Shoot
We're at the end of a whirlwind weekend, and we couldn't be happier! After having our first read through with our fabulous cast, we set out on an incredibly ambitious (and naive??) journey of shooting both our promotional and poster photos, as well as a teaser trailer for the show, in one day, within 3 hours...and it went off without a hitch!
After having mentioned wanting to do a trailer for Bachelorette to my friend and actor/production coordinator/casting guru/producer/crazy hard worker, Morgana Wylie, it didn't take long for Ben and I to suddenly find ourselves surrounded by some insanely talented people who - for some reason - were invested and interested in helping us with our project!
Morgana took over producing and coordinating our trailer shoot, and hooked us up with the wonderful Matt Brascia who agreed to come on as our DOP and cinematographer. A late night meeting (and some sangria) allowed us an opportunity to build a creative story line and plan for our teaser trailer, and we immediately knew Matt was the perfect person to take this on and to work with - we knew we were lucky, and if we were in over our heads, it was ok...Matt would take care of us!
When it came to our photoshoot, there was no doubt in our mind that we wanted our photographer from All New People back. Aileen Choi had come into our world by word of mouth and pure luck during our last show, and she gave us images for that production that we ended up building our entire promotional package around. We got her back on board for Bachelorette, and she came in and did a dazzling and impressive shoot with our actors.
While Morgana and I ran around keeping everyone on point (and on time), our creative geniuses got to work, and despite the mayhem managed to work out some incredible shots, story telling and imagery for us to show you soon! Not to mention the fact that our cast is comprised of some of the most talented, giving, BEAUTIFUL, and willing actors ever, which made our day that much easier and more enjoyable.
